Chest radiography (CXR) was an important diagnostic method for evaluating the airways, pulmonary parenchyma and vessels, mediastinum, heart, pleura, and chest wall.
Therefore, CXR interpretation was one of the fundamental skills of every doctor. Healthcare professionals were particularly exposed to various chest x-rays during a regular shift. Hence, knowing the basics of CXR and pathologies in the healthcare setting was very important.
Through an online workshop, Dr. Nene and Dr. Sodipo – subject matter experts – summarized the basics of chest X-rays, and their interpretation, and gave some pathologic examples mainly covering respiratory tract infections.
