Why use Diproson?

  • Diproson contains a highly active topical corticosteroid called betamethasone dipropionate.
  • Healthcare professionals prescribe Diproson for treating various skin conditions. These include eczema, seborrheic and contact dermatitis, psoriasis, and lichen planus (tiny red or purplish bumps on the skin, nails, scalp).

Symptoms

Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin condition portrayed by the appearance of skin flakes on scalp, hair, eyebrows, beard, and shoulders.
  • Its common causes include irritated, oily skin or dry skin, as well as fungal infection and eczema.
  • The most common symptom is an itchy scalp. Furthermore, this leads to redness on the itchy area of the scalp.
  • Topical corticosteroids help relieve the symptoms like itching, swelling and redness, as well as scaling.
Itching
  • Itching is also known as pruritus which means a desire to scratch.
  • Scratching temporarily relieves itching but can damage the skin, which sometimes results in more itching.
  • It is a typical symptom of hives, dry skin, eczema, contact dermatitis and fungal skin infections.
  • Diproson reduces itching, swelling and redness due to its anti-inflammatory action.
Eczema
  • Eczema is a chronic skin condition that causes the skin to become itchy, red, dry and cracked.
  • It can affect any part of the body but eczema mostly affects the back or front of the knee, around the neck, the hands, cheeks and scalp, as well as elbows.

  • Lichen simplex is not contagious. In other words, it cannot spread from person to person.
  • It presents as scaly, dry patches of skin in easily accessible areas, such as the hands, arms, head and neck, as well as the genitals.
  • The patches of lichen simplex are hyperpigmented, lichenified plaques (single or multiple) that appear in irregular, oval, or angular shapes.
  • Lichenified skin is thickened and leathery with exaggerated skin creases. The body produces this thickened skin to protect itself from the chronic scratching and rubbing.
  • Furthermore, lichen simplex may be secondary to other skin disorders, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.
Otitis externa
  • Otitis externa is characterized by itching, scaling, flaking and redness of the outer ear canal.
  • It is normally a reaction to allergic triggers. Common contact allergens include nickel-containing earrings and various beauty products (For example, hairsprays, lotions, hair dye).
