SYTA: Shalina Healthcare’s Continued Commitment to Young Pharmacists in Nigeria

We are proud to support the development of future pharmacists. As part of our commitment to nurturing young talent, we recently hosted the 6th season of the Shalina Young Talent Awards (SYTA) in Lagos, Nigeria, on 4th February 2025.

Over 3,788 aspiring pharmacists participated in the zonal qualifiers, with 10 advancing to the final stage. The top three finalists were honoured with prestigious awards:

1st Prize – Samuel Ibrahim Ayomide, University of Lagos, Lagos
2nd Prize – Sanusi Abdulqudus Abiola, University of Ilorin, Ilorin
3rd Prize – Ifenna Okafor Amuzie, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Pharm. Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim (President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria), Debajeet Mukherjee (CEO – Pharma, Shalina Healthcare), Opeyemi Abisola Akinyele (Head – Nigeria, Shalina Healthcare), and other distinguished dignitaries.

We remain committed to consistently supporting and empowering the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals, fostering excellence in healthcare across Africa.

Our Jejuri factory was audited and approved by Food & Drugs Authority, Ghana in 2009. Our initial operations in Ghana were limited to an import and re-export hub in Tema Free Trade Zone to service Ghana and other West African Countries.
